I began in science. I trained in pharmacy and went on to a PhD in pharmaceutical nanotechnology, studying how the smallest structures change the way the body responds. Along the way I noticed I was more curious about the person in front of me than the prescription in my hand. So I followed that curiosity.
I completed an MSc in Psychology, trained as a therapeutic coach and in EMDR, and now teach health and social care at the University of Greater Manchester. Art came through the same door. I draw and paint to hold a feeling long enough to understand it, and every piece carries an intention for whoever is looking.

My research explores self-compassion among healthcare professionals: how the people who care for others learn to extend the same care to themselves. I am also the founding director of COFLUENCE, an interdisciplinary research group that brings together colleagues from fields that rarely meet, because the most useful answers are often found in between.
What connects all of it is one way of seeing. I read what is happening beneath the surface of people, teams and institutions, and help them hear it and act on it. I believe each of us carries an original inner voice that knows our path. Life teaches us to quieten it. My work is helping you hear it again, and take the first step.
